About Us

Our story is like many other small breweries. We started in the garage several years ago doing what we loved—making craft beer to share with our friends. As time went on and the beer became better, many of our friends encouraged us to open a brewery. Now, over 10 years after brewing that first batch, we have finally done it. We proudly own Alachua's first craft brewery! We have created an environment that is welcoming, fun, and relaxing. Our goal is to provide a non-intimidating approach to beer and educate those who want to know about the many styles of craft beer.

Our taproom at features a rustic contemporary, industrial style that beautifully blends country aesthetics with modern technology. With plenty of seats around the bar and brew-house, along with several lounge chairs, you can relax and enjoy a wonderful craft beer from our brewery.

At our Daft Cow Brewery, we operate a 3.5 BBL electric system powered by solar energy. Each beer is carefully hand crafted in small batches to ensure the best quality and meticulous attention to detail. Enjoy watching the brew master as he creates the next delicious batch while you sit near the stainless steel fermenter tanks.

Scott is the head brewer and owner of Daft Cow Brewery. Making beer has been his passion for many years. The one thing he enjoys more than crafting beer is sharing his creations from with others and hearing their thoughts on it.
